Paper Towns by John Green Review (No Spoilers)

★★★.5/5

I'm giving this book 3.5 stars because I enjoyed part three, but it took me three tries to finish the book. I started reading Paper Towns right after I finished The Fault In Our Stars because I was really enjoying John Green's writing style. I only got to part one and I could not get myself to start part two. I picked it up again around December of 2014, and I started at part two and could not remember anything that happened so I started all over and I got about ten pages into the book and put it down again. On March 12, 2015, I picked up the book again because it was being super hyped up again because of the movie that it about to come out. I read seventeen pages and fell asleep. Yes, I must admit that I was quite tired, but I was also bored with it at the same time. I woke up the next morning and finished the first chapter. On the next day, I decided that my goal was to finish the whole book, which I did. I finished it in about six hours. I basically had to force myself to finish it. Part two is probably the most boring section, in my opinion. The first part was intriguing because this is when Q and Margo go on a couple of adventures. I don't really want to talk about the second and third section because I do not want to spoil anything, but I will tell you that the third part is the most action packed section. I also found Margo to be kind of annoying. Q was likable, but he was annoying at some parts because I felt as if he was obsessed with Margo. If you also have a difficult time trying to get through this book, don't be like me and put it down because in my opinion, it does get slowly get better.
